Khajjiar is a hill station in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, India, located approximately 24 km from Dalhousie. Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Khajjiar. Situated between Dalhousie and Khajjiar Lake, this wildlife reserve is popular for nature walks and hikes. Khajjiar sits on a small plateau with a small stream-fed lake in the middle that has been covered over with weeds. The hill station is surrounded by meadows and forests. It is about 6,500 feet (2,000 m) above sea level in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas and peaks can be seen in the distance. It is part of the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary.

Gaggal airport in Dharamsala is the nearest airport at a distance of 122 km. Flights from Chandigarh, Delhi and Kullu operate to Gaggal airport.
Pathankot is the nearest railhead at a distance of 118 km. Trains from Ahmedabad, Bhatinda, Delhi, Hatia, Jammu, Udhampur, etc. run regularly to Pathankot. Taxis are available from Pathankot to reach Khajjiar.
Khajjiar is well connected by road to all the major places in Himachal Pradesh. State owned buses from Shimla, Chamba and Dalhousie ply regularly to Khajjiar.
